Sightings are rare - but on this site I can afford you glimpses: snap shots taken by intrepid phone-cam users who have been lucky enough to capture the elusive McDonagh unawares. I am a writer, and possibly Rory's biggest fan. I have been following his career since he first appeared before the public eye, and like to think that I know more than most what makes McDonagh tick. I have complied a list of trivia - details of Rory's life and work that you may or may not know about.

It is widely known that Mr. McDonagh keeps his private life under wraps, that he has no official website and that he is suspicious of interviews - having once narrowly avoided being stitched up by a hackette who wanted to write his unofficial biography. However, I was fortunate enough to run into the man himself in his favourite pub - O'Tooles in the tiny village of Kilrowan in the West of Ireland - where he was enjoying a pint of Guinness. I plucked up the courage to approach him and he was generous enough to grant permission for me to set up this 'Official Unofficial' site. He also granted me an exclusive interview.
